SUMMARY:
Qualified Accountant / Bookkeeper with relevant Diploma or Degree and minimum 2 years’ experience in the retail industry required for this Retail Company based in Somerset West.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualified Accountant / Bookkeeper with relevant Diploma or Degree and minimum 2 years’ experience in the retail industry required for this Retail Company based in Somerset West.

Minimum requirements:

Bookkeeping Diploma / Accounting Degree required
Minimum 2 years’ Accounting/Bookkeeping experience in the Retail Industry required
Pastel , Xero , Sage Pastel Online, Quickbooks knowledge required
Knowledge of Erply Accounting Package advantageous
Working knowledge of Inventory/Stock systems essential
SARS e-filing experience and statutory requirements essential
Payroll experience essential
Ability to perform monthly financial analysis on transactions, preparing management reports, reconciliation reports and budgets required

Responsibilities:

Full accounting function
Processing daily transactions
Bank, creditors and debtors reconciliations
Petty cash
Payroll
SARS statutory returns and e-filing
Prepare management reports
Reconciliation reports
Budgets
Daily cash-up function, reconciliations and reports
Monthly financial analysis on transactions
Inventory and stock control function
