We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Administrator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. Based in Port Elizabeth
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims.
- Generate financial reports and statements.
- Administrative Support:
- Manage office supplies and inventory.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments.
- Maintain and organize filing systems.
- Assist with HR tasks, including onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records.
- Provide general administrative support to the team.
- Client Management:
- Communicate with clients regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Address client concerns and provide timely resolutions.
Qualifications:- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of South African accounting standards and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
