Job Description:

Are you a hands-on problem solver with experience in building maintenance? We’re looking for a dedicated Building Maintenance Handyman. If you take pride in keeping a building functioning smoothly, this role might be perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities:

As a Building Maintenance Handyman, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, ensuring the integrity of the building is maintained.

These include:

Painting, drywalling, and basic plumbing repairs
Repairing door locks, windows, and fences
Operating forklifts and scaffolding
Roof leak repairs, signage fitting, and cleaning gutters
Tarring, cementing, and tiling
Office relocations and carpet repairs
General cleaning and ensuring good housekeeping standards
Adhering to safety legislation and completing job cards

Requirements:

Work Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in building maintenance, services, or utilities
Knowledge of water reticulation, plumbing, and basic carpentry
A team player with the ability to work independently
Good timekeeping and knowledge of plant safety
Must have clear criminal and credit checks completed

Education:

Matric (preferably)
A building-related qualification or practical experience will be an advantage
