Building Manager

SUMMARY:
Our Client in the Property Industry is looking for a Building Manager to join their Kimberley team
Salary is R20 000 - R40 000 CTC per month dependent on experience 

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements:

• National Diploma in Business Management, Facilities Management, Project Management, or a related field
• Additional certifications in Health & Safety (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Samtrac) are advantageous
• Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in operations management, facilities management, or project management within the commercial, retail, or student accommodation sectors
• Experience managing Building Management Systems (BMS) in commercial properties would be advantageous
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and property management software (e.g. MDA, MRI)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and background in facilities upgrades related to energy efficiency and sustainability

• Oversee the daily operations of the property, ensuring all facilities are in optimal condition
• Schedule and supervise maintenance and repair work, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural aspects
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues proactively
• Ensure lease agreements and building regulations are adhered to
• Facilitate lease renewals, move-ins, and move-outs in coordination with property management
• Assist in the preparation and management of property budgets
• Monitor expenses and control costs while ensuring the building remains well-maintained
• Manage service contracts for cleaning, security, landscaping, and maintenance providers
• Oversee performance and ensure service providers meet contractual obligations
• Ensure the building complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety measures
