Bulk Bag Operator (FMCG)

Our client is looking to fill the position of a Bulk Bag Operator in the Manufacturing Department. The incumbent will be required to work under extreme food safety standards in various areas of the Production Department and Finished Goods Department. The job incumbent will report to the Production Supervisor.

Duties:

• Adhering to quality and food safety policies, rules and regulations
• Adhering to and implementing standard operating procedures and food safety specifications & procedures
• Conducting visual inspections and verifications according to SOPs
• Management of bulk bags of raw materials: requesting raw materials from operators, receiving raw materials from operators, and conducting visual inspections and cleaning bulk bags
• Filling silos with the correct raw material ingredients
• Inspecting level sensors and monitoring levels/quantities of each raw material ingredient in silos
• Providing general assistance to and standing in for machine operators
• Completing necessary paperwork: verification checklists, hygiene checklists, cleaning checklists, non-conformances, batch preparation sheets, production sheets, weight monitoring sheets
• Warehouse maintenance and general housekeeping

Requirements:

• Matric qualification
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Experience in production / FMCG environment will be advantageous
• Experience working in high-risk food environment will be advantageous
• Must be willing to work shifts
