Business Development Representative

SUMMARY:
Instrumental in driving company growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, by generating leads, build relationships with potential clients, convert them into customers and work closely with sales management to help expand the market presence and achieve revenue and GP.

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

• Lead Generation: Identify and research potential leads through various channels including social media, industry events, networking and canvassing businesses in Western Cape
• Outbound Outreach: Conduct outreach to prospects via phone, email, and social media to introduce the products/services and schedule meetings to explore 
• Lead Qualification: Engage with potential leads to understand their needs, qualify their interest, and determine their fit with our offerings.
• CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of interactions with prospects and update the system with relevant information about leads and their status.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on lead generation strategies, share insights, and contribute to the development of targeted outreach campaigns.
• Performance Tracking: Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets for lead generation, prospect / customer conversion, sales and GP targets
• Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to effectively communicate the value of our solutions to enhance the customer experience.
• Area responsible: Western Cape, Northen region of North Cape and down to Mosselbay.

Requirements:

Formal schooling/ degree:

• Matric
• Diploma in business administration, finance

Experience:

• 5+years in an equivalent and similar role in a distribution environment
• Computer literate – Specifically Excel as well as Word, MS Office & Outlook,
• SYSPRO experience advantageous
• Business acumen
