Butchery Manager - Hillcrest KZN

SUMMARY:

1. A Matric Certificate with Mathematics

• A Grade 1 Meat Cutting Certificate or Recognised Butchery Apprenticeship

• At least 5 years proven experience in all aspects of day to day running & managing of a meat market.
• Valid Driver’s License & own vehicle - Essential

POSITION INFO:
Required Technical Competencies & Experience:

1. Manage butchery targets and profitability.
2. Control stock
3. Manage and set ideal stock levels per product category.
4. Set correct range to be available at the correct time of day / week.
5. Ensure scales are correctly calibrated and products and prices are accurately maintained.
6. Responsible for negotiating and procuring quality raw materials/ “bought in lines” and expense items according to customer requirements using a daily ordering system and production schedule.
7. Responsible for point of sale and pricing.
8. Report on daily, weekly, and monthly GP’s.
9. Arrange training for your staff when required.
10. On the Job Mentoring and Coaching of Butchery staff members.
