SUMMARY:
Our Beauty industry client seeks a buyer for their procurement team to manage the supply chain from planning to delivery. The role involves optimizing inventory, reducing costs, improving efficiency, and ensuring timely product delivery.
POSITION INFO:
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar import / export role working with many products (e.g. over 1,000 SKU’s), suppliers and industry players across the supply chain.
- Computer literate (Excellent Excel skills)
- Netstock or similar forecasting system experience is important.
- Experience in the beauty or FMCG industry.
- Pastel experience is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes.
- Manage the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance.
- Ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained by implementing inventory management policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain metrics and KPIs to measure supply chain performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies, and set up interviews with them and the HOD to discuss future business.
