SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Buying Imports Administrator Assistant to assist the person responsible for developing and buying imported products within the safety industry. Experience in the safety equipment industry is essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Skills Required:
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Good communicational skills to deal with all the different role players
  • Well skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Duties:
  • Sending and receiving samples to and from import suppliers and tracking them.
  • Liaising with courier companies.
  • Product research and finding suppliers, prices and MOQ’s(Minimum Order Quantities).
  • Creating Product storylines: keeping track of the product development (product changes / add-ons / designs).
  • Following up on products / Correspondence with suppliers.
  • Production meeting setup, agendas, keeping everyone up to date on product developments.
  • Learn and work on the companies operating system.
 
Product Administration Duties:
 Schedule design work with the marketing department through WRIKE (task requesting software).
  • Collecting the info and putting it together for spec sheet information.
  • Creating Barcodes on GS1 site.
  • Checking physical stock for any issues such as product design, packaging, carton discrepancies – amend, update, follow up with suppliers.
  • Run VLOOKUP queries/reports on data pulled into Excel.
  • Forecasting of potential orders.
  • Placing of orders.
  • Following up on orders.
  • Updating the PPE schedule.
  • Import documentation to be edited, checked and sent on to the forwarding and clearing agencies.
Costing of imported goods on Excel spread sheets
Coordinating the loading of import stock on order
