SUMMARY:
A reputable aerospace engineering and consulting services firm is seeking to expand its CAD Department with a highly skilled and hands-on Mechanical CAD Designer experienced in the aerodynamic design of flight vehicles.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the mechanical design and development of various aerospace systems and components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of aerospace projects.
Design and develop parts and assemblies using CAD software.
Create detailed technical drawings for parts and assemblies.
Ensure all CAD work meets internal and global standards, providing reliable and consistent output.
Manage CAD data configuration and control, utilizing PDM (Product Data Management) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.
Perform quality control tasks to ensure parts and assemblies meet specifications.
Assist with hands-on integration and assembly during research and development activities.

Required Qualifications:

Relevant training or education in mechanical design.
Expertise in SolidWorks.
At least 5 years of experience in precision machine design and/or aerospace engineering.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and practices.
Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Practical knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
SolidWorks PDM experience.
Familiarity with product lifecycle management.
Experience in a CAD office environment.
