Our client, working in the Clothing Industry, is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join their team in Pretoria East.
The CAD Designer will collaborate with product developers to create accurate, production-ready files, ensuring correct branding, colors, textures, and patterns. The role requires the ability to interpret design briefs and swiftly translate garments into CAD, with experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
Responsibilities:
- Research seasonal trends to guide design direction.
- Develop garment and clothing CAD designs, including detailed Techpacks.
- Assist in trim development for high-quality finishes.
- Translate CAD designs into patterns and grading.
- Create mood boards and color palettes to define design aesthetics.
- Support range building and competitor analysis.
- Design branded swing tickets, trims, graphics, and prints aligned with the brand’s identity.
- Use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to develop conceptual designs.
- Work on various design projects, including apparel graphics, AOP prints, and branding elements.
- Stay updated on industry trends.
- Manage overseas samples, photography, and seasonal tagging.
Requirements: - Matric
- 4-7 years experience as a CAD Designer within the clothing industry.
- Strong artistic skills with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is essential.
- Experience in CAD design for garments and trims.
- Computer literate
