Applications are invited from enthusiastic, qualified, experienced, and deadline-driven candidates for the abovementioned position. The incumbent will do clinical teaching, accompaniment, and assessment for undergraduate programs, participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and learning, and perform related administrative duties.
POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
Â
- Degree / Diploma in Nursing Education
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Nurse Educator, Assessor and Moderator
Â
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEÂ - Three years of working experience in a hospital or clinic.
Â
ADDED ADVANTAGESÂ - Development of teaching material and assessment of students
- Advanced Computer skills
- Experience in Community Engagement
Â
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Â
Job Specific Knowledge:Â
- Strong knowledge and expertise in general nursing
- Strong knowledge of nursing skills
Â
Job Specific Skills:Â
- Good knowledge and application of Microsoft Office packages and
- Correct use of Teaching and Learning as well as clinical Facilities/Technologies
- Excellent interpersonal & presentation skills
- Time Management
- Management of student diversity, e.g. education, culture, gender, etc.
- Ability to mentor and coach students

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDEÂ
- Clinical teaching and assessment for undergraduate programs
- Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and research
- Perform academic leadership and related administrative duties
- Any other duties that may be assigned to you by the HOD
