COST AND PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Centurion

PRIMARY ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation and maintenance of detail project budgets and long-term business plan.
Preparation and maintenance of monthly project forecast.
Update of monthly dashboard and management accounts (balance Sheet, income statements and cash flow statements)
Monthly reporting and analysis of actual project expenses vs budget.
Project costing, labour recoveries, inventory and WIP justification.
Liaise with programme managers, financial managers & directors internally and auditors externally.
Register and maintain projects and GL interface on Syspro.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Accounting Diploma
Minimum 2 years work experience in cost accounting.

Skills

Must have analytical abilities
Good communication and people management skills
Manufacturing / production accounting
Advanced Excel and ability to work with large amounts of data
Experience in Syspro (MRP & Production Planning) – or equivalent will be an advantage
SQL and ODBC skills
Problem solving abilities
