POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is URGENTLY seeking a suitably qualified and experienced CREDITORS CLERK for a well-established company, position based in Eston, Kwazulu-Natal.

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.

Relevant qualification/s advantageous.

Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

English speaking (must be able to speak, read and write English competently).

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Pastel Partner ESSENTIAL!

7+yrs previous working experience in a similar position.

Detailed knowledge of accounting procedures, computerized accounting principles of internal control, and VAT is essential.

Accurately capture supplier invoices, including those from wood suppliers, in the accounting system to

effect valid, complete, and timely creditor payments.

Process only valid tax invoices acceptable by SARS, requesting corrections for any invoices that are

not valid tax invoices before processing.

Reconcile purchase orders to invoices.

Ensure invoices processed are appropriately authorized and supported by the correct POs and PODs.

Ensure all supplier invoices are allocated correctly to general ledger cost codes and project codes.

Prepare creditor reconciliations between the supplier ledger, supplier statement, and supplier invoices

before payment is made.

Prepare and submit remittance advices to suppliers after each payment run.

Ensure completeness and accuracy of all supplier invoices and payment batches.

Ensure all supplier balances on the creditors'' age analysis are complete and within the approved

payment terms.

Ensure main cash book receipts and payments are processed accurately and completely to the correct

allocation codes on a weekly basis.

Process the cash book and credit cards on a monthly basis.

Ensure all processing of creditors is done timeously.

Ensure all month-end processing and payment deadlines are met.
