Candidate Attorney

SUMMARY:
Our Legal client based in Johannesburg North is seeking a dedicated and detail-orientated Candidate Attorney with a passion for Employment and Commercial Law to join their team
Salary: R8000 - R9500 CTC per month

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• LLB Degree
• Strong interest in employment law and commercial law (prior coursework or internships in these areas advantageous)
• Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced legal environment
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Conduct legal research and provide case law analysis in employment and commercial law matters
• Draft and review employment contracts, policies, disciplinary codes, and commercial agreements such as service agreements, shareholder agreements, and sale of business agreements
• Assist in dispute resolution, including preparing documentation for CCMA, Labour Court, and contractual disputes
• Engage in client consultations, attend court proceedings, and liaise with counsel where necessary
• Draft legal opinions, pleadings, and correspondence for litigation and advisory work
• Keep up to date with legislative and regulatory developments in employment and commercial law
• Support attorneys in contract negotiations and due diligence processes
