SUMMARY:
If you are an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse with Case Management experience then we would like to present this opportunity to you.
A Case Manager vacancy is available at a hospital in Mthatha. Applicants must have experience working in this role currently or previously to be considered.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The main responsibilities includes (not limited to):
  • Assess patient clinical reports to liaise with Medical aids
  • Confirm L.O.S and L.O.C for patients
  • Check all ICD and CPT coding and authorisation numbers
  • Process all patient updates with Medical aids
  • Liaise with doctors, patients and nursing staff
  • Liaise with Debtors department related to any queries
  • Handle all queries and communication with Medical aid Case Managers
  • Submit accounts timeously
  • Constantly monitor patients status and update Medical aids
  • Ensure adequate record keeping
Requirements:
Enrolled Nurse Certificate OR General Nursing Diploma
SANC registered (essential)
Minimum of 3 yrs previous nursing experience within hospitals
Minimum of 2 yrs working experience as Case Manager (required)
Good knowledge of ICD 10/CPT coding
Good knowledge and understanding of Medical aid contracts, rules and benefit policies
