POSITION INFO:
Main purpose of the job:
- To work in conjunction with the facility counsellors, linkage officers and the rest of the project team to provide personalized linkage to care for clients with a focus on ensuring initial retention in care
Location:
- 22 Esselen Street, Hillbrow - Johannesburg
Key performance areas:
- Act as a participant escort by navigating participants through the CRS
- Support various studies with general administrative duties such as hourly transport of samples to and from lab
- Always maintain participant confidentiality
- Support the operations team with general tasks and administration as and when required
- Maintain storerooms and assist with retrieval and dispatching of stock
- Support stock-take activities
- Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrate effective self-management
- Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained
- Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback
- Take ownership for driving own career development by participating in ongoing training and development activities
Required minimum education and training:
- Matric or equivalent
- Experience in working with people or in customer service
- Fluent in English and other African languages (Sesotho and Zulu preferable)
Required minimum work experience:
- Experience as a volunteer working in community related public health structures and projects for a minimum of 6 months
- Previous demonstrable health talks, tracking and tracing experience in a health facility and/or community
- Training on Customer Care will be an additional advantage
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities:
- Good communication skills and must be able to speak more than one African language
- Basic computer literacy and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Be adaptable, approachable, empathetic, and willing to take initiative
- Experience in health-related services
