POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a dedicated Cash and Carry Assistant to support the efficiency and productivity of their store. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service, managing financial tasks, and assisting with stock and administration.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Assist in achieving the Cash and Carry store's sales budget.
• Handle financial tasks such as cash management and processing banking slips.
• Perform general administrative duties, including managing Purchase Orders, courier slips, filing, and updating spreadsheets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store (housekeeping).
• Assist with stock counts and inventory management.
• Step in for the Supervisor when needed.
• Handle switchboard/reception duties as required.
• Be willing to work overtime and Saturdays when necessary.

Key Skills:

• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Good organizational and administrative skills.
• Basic sales knowledge and financial administration experience (advantageous).
• Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and ERP systems (advantageous).
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience within a retail branch.
