Cashbook Controller

SUMMARY:
Luxury safari organisation is seeking a Cashbook Controller to join their team in Southern Suburbs, Cape Town. The main purpose of the role is to process, reconcile and maintain all Cashbooks/Bank Accounts for the company.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile all credit card accounts (22 credit cards).
• Debit order management of the groups various obligations.
• Accurately perform bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Prepare for payment and process the weekly COD supplier invoices.
• Checking and capturing all supplier invoices with attention to detail and consistency.
• Use the Property management system to assist in the completion of the bank reconciliations.
• Assist with external and internal auditors and other administrative enquiries.
• Create and maintain relationships with business stakeholders such as suppliers, operational team members etc.
• Co-ordinate capital expenditure and check that all CAPEX request Forms are filled in correctly and received at Head Office for signed approval.
• Ad hoc tasks as assigned by Management.
• Active participation in and effective communication and support of the company's conservation message and purpose.

• Tertiary Financial Qualification
• 3 Years of experience in a similar role (preferably from a hospitality background)
• No criminal record.
• A good understanding of general accounting principles.
• Proficient in processing Cashbooks using Pastel Partner.
• High degree of computer literacy - enabling a working knowledge of Property Management systems.
• Accurate work ethic with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with internet banking platforms (FNB).
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal) in English.
• The ability to deal with pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Sound knowledge of Finance processes and procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Passion for industry and conservation.
• Citizenship or valid work permit.
