Castline Supervisor SIC Section-In-Charge – Durban
Salary: Market Related, Permanent with benefits
Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for Castline Supervisor Section-In-Charge, SIC for a permanent position based in eThekwini, Durban. The SIC is communicate orally (log later) and/or in writing to other departments for resolution of service problems, reporting defective material, coordination of job preparations, changeovers, and daily shift information. Be willing and able to work extended hours where required, overtime and available for after-hours call-outs 24/7 for line breakages and stoppages.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
ü 5 years or more of experience supervising extrusion line in a manufacturing environment.
ü Industries preferred – manufacturing, plastics, steel, pulp & paper, sugar, fmcg, packaging
ü Be willing and able to be on call at all times, nightshift allowance + call out fee reimbursed, over and above salary. Benefits include medical aid and provident fund contributions, disability, funeral cover, 13th cheque.
ü Diploma in Plastic Manufacturing or relevant Engineering Qualification
ü Diploma in Supervisory Management
ü Food Safety Certificate
ü Ability to be self-manage and multitask
ü Ability to follow directions
ü Ability to lead and manage the performance of others
ü Timeliness
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Supervise Operation of Cast Line Department, to ensure it:
- Ensure BSC & OHSA standards.
- Perform to quality, waste, and production standards and goals.
- Ensure plant and processes run as per IMS standards, SOPs, WI, formats, specifications, best practices/run parameters.
- Follow TQM principles & methodology for sustaining current and future continual improvement.
- Meet or exceed the customers (both internal and external) expectations.
- Communicate orally (log later) and/or in writing to other departments for resolution of service problems, reporting
- defective material, coordination of job preparations, changeovers, and daily shift information.
- Report production/systems accurately and timely including waste, WIP, time codes, raw materials/MUDI-MUDA-MURA, etc.
- Ensure your own safety while operating the machine and that of those assisting with operations.
- Motivate employees to comply with the above
- Ensure participation in training programmes, motivate others in group.
