My client in Bloemfontein is currently recruiting for a Qualified Chef to direct, prepare cooking and other food preparation on a daily basis.

Minimum requirements:

• National Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts (Bachelors preferred)
• 2 - 3 years working experience as a Chef
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Dedicated to food quality and control
• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards

Responsibilities:

• Direct and prepare cooking and other food preparation activities on a daily basis
• Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
• Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
• Coach other chef and / or members of kitchen staff, so they perform at their best
