A historic farm in the heart of the Winelands is seeking a talented CHEF DE PARTIE to join its world-class culinary team.

POSITION INFO:
This role demands a passion for fine dining, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of flavor combinations and global food trends. It requires strong leadership, exceptional presentation skills, and the ability to craft innovative dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients from the estate’s garden.

Candidate Requirements:

• Recognized chef qualification with an outstanding food portfolio
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a chef
• Expertise in taste and flavor pairings, with a flair for visual presentation
• Up to date with global food trends and fine dining standards
• Strong mentoring and leadership skills to develop kitchen staff
• Ability to create new, original dishes daily based on seasonal produce
• Excellent stock management, price calculation, and purchasing skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken)
• Must have own transport and reside locally
• Proficient in computer skills for kitchen management tasks
• Commitment to maintaining the highest safety and hygiene standards
