Chemical Site Operator / Data Capturer - Saldanha

Chemical Site Operator / Data Capturer:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Driver’s License and own vehicle is essential. (Transportation to and from facility)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the food production industry an advantage.
• Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office software – Outlook and Excel (Fill in of data on Excel and respond to emails)
• English and Afrikaans
• Good health as the person will be moving and walking on site.

Duties:

• Write down volumes/levels of chemicals in the Tank
• Calculate consumption by subtracting new reading with the previous reading
• Test the chemical concentration using the conductivity meter and titration test kit ( Training to be provided)
• Cleaning of chemical rooms by stacking containers neatly (Housekeeping) and Puncturing of empty containers
• Be present with Thursday deliveries, supervising delivery of chemicals and checking paperwork.
• Assist with staff training (training to be provided)
• Test satellites concentration on night shift (3 nights a month)
• General checks, - are cages locked, footbaths filled, dispensers full, inspect for leaks.
• Assist the general store with queries
• Complete all data in Excel.

Working the following hours:

• Monday: 8:00-17:00
• Tuesday: 8:00-12:00
• Wednesday: 02:00-11:00 (Night Shift)
• Thursday: 8:00-17:00
• Friday: 8:00-17:00
