An animal sanctuary based in Bethlehem is part of a global group focused on protecting animals.  They have a new permanent opportunity available to join their team.

Would you like to contribute to something meaningful and work with us along their mission? This is your chance. The sanctuary is looking for dedicated people to enrich their team.  They are in need of a Chief Animal Caretaker to take on a permanent role in this rewarding environment.

Your contribution will be

• Daily management of the animals and supervision of the animal caretaker team ensuring that daily husbandry practices and safety protocols are strictly adhered to
• Ensuring that the animal-related facilities are properly operated and maintained, and any technical issues are reported and dealt with immediately
• Assisting in veterinary procedures and health checks, as required
• Monitoring, evaluating, and document the health condition of animals and implementing treatment plans as per the veterinarian’s instructions
• Establishing and implementing animal training plans for big cats based on the individuals’ needs and in alignment with the Health & Husbandry Department

REQUIREMENTS:

Your profile ideally illustrates:

• Several years of relevant professional experience
• Qualifications in captive animal management would be preferable
• Experience supervising, managing, and training staff
• Excellent English skills, both verbal and written
• Valid driver’s license
• Great affinity to animal welfare and organization’s vision and mission
• International applications will be subject to visa and work permit requirements
