Circulation Sales Supervisor

Overview: 

The primary responsibility of the role is to develop and grow sales of the titles across all channels. The position demands a creative, highly-organised sales-orientated individual that can set up and deal with the managing of promoters and promotions in multiple regions. This person will work closely with the marketing department to reach the set sales goals with maximum efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
• 3+ years’ experience in retail sales and promotions
• A valid driver’s license
• Reliable own vehicle

Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with the Marketing department, prepare the annual circulation sales drivers & marketing plan detailing the retail, subscription, event-related and bulk promotions planned for each title.
• Oversee and support all of the local circulation-driven events.
• Weekly monitoring of informal sales sector, address problems and possible growth potential with the relevant contractors.
• Regular communication and updates on results and the progress of promotions.
• Prepare weekly sales reports per promotion to ensure the promoters are paid accurately and on time.
• Ensure relationships with retailers and agents are nurtured and strengthened.
• Work closely with the merchandising team to ensure the best positioning for the Arena
• Holding titles and that the agents are sufficiently supplied.
• Attend relevant meetings to ensure that ad hoc promotional opportunities such as special events, new features, enhancements, etc. are fully exploited.

• Must be prepared to work after hours and over weekends and travel when necessary
