Key Responsibility Areas
• Data capturing of work done quantities.
• Preliminary Designs of all Civil related structures (Conceptualize drawings)
• Issuing of job cards to the handyman.
• Assistance in Quantity surveying related activities
• Layer works analysis for pavement works and roads.
• Roof systems design and construction understanding
• Waterproofing analysis
• Geotechnical investigations
• Condition assessment of structures and infrastructure
• Understanding of plumbing systems water and sanitation
• Civil survey and setting out works
• Understanding of drawings and ability to draw with AutoCAD if required
• Knowledge of MS Projects and ability to compile project programs.
• Compile Progress Reports and do Quality Control
• Analyse Quotations for procurement
• Liaise with the Portfolio Manager and Facilities Operations Co-Ordinator
• Offer Technical Support to and Supervise the Handymen and Sub-Contractors
Competencies
• Grade 12 or higher certificate in civil engineering
• Proven experience in the civil engineering industry
• Extensive knowledge of the relevant industry standards.
• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and solve problems timely.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of Project Management principles.
