POSITION INFO:

Join our client's team of passionate professionals committed to driving real change and innovation in the SME Asset Finance and Financial Technology space. The business is primarily focused on unlocking opportunities for SMEs by providing growth capital and credit management services.

Reporting directly to the COO, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and growing their well-established network of asset finance brokers and suppliers to drive new business growth. The role will expose you to sales, credit assessment, legal and compliance as well as relationship management and provides a platform for excellent career development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance existing relationships with new business channel partners. Educate and inform the wider sales network of business offerings and products
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Understand their financing needs and provide tailored solutions where appropriate
• New business development by looking for new opportunities in the asset finance space
• Build a sufficient knowledge base on what SMEs the credit team looks at, what factors go into credit assessment and what documentation to request on new applications
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of our asset finance products and services
• Present finance approvals to clients ensuring their understanding of the offering and use various tactics and sales tools to close deals
• Work closely with internal teams, including credit, operations, and compliance to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for clients
• Track sales activities and maintain accurate records in CRM systems. Provide regular reports on sales performance and market insights to management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field
• Strong academic record is compulsory
• Recently qualified graduate or 1 year into the professional world and looking for a career or company change
• Knowledge of asset and equipment finance or financial services is advantageous but not mandatory
• A valid South African driver's license and own transport
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
