DUTIES:

• Respond to the need for new programs for the improvement of workflow and efficiency
• Compile technical specifications document for the new program / program amendment, including source code
• Produce code for business applications as per Business specifications
• Develop workflow processes
• Ensure development standards are being adhered to
• Train & mentor other staff members
• Attend workshops, JAD sessions, focus groups for effective problem solving
• Prepare and provide input to estimates for work order / quotations
• Staff supervision and mentoring

REQUIREMENTS:

• Understand system functionality
• Understand databases and data relationships
• Degree / diploma in Computer Science, Business or similar field
• Formal training in desired coding language
• 2 – 5 years’ experience in programming role
• Knowledge & experience within employee benefits / financial services
• MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Understand Omni system (advantageous)
• Adaptable
• Resilient
