JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Purpose

  • Accurately receive customer products into the warehouse, allocate them accordingly into the warehouse, and dispatch orders in full, in time as per the stipulated Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) to maintain good consistent customer service.

 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Prepare orders based on picking slips and liaise with forklift / Reach TRUCK drivers or general workers to ensure that the correct orders are prepared timeously.
  • Records all the relevant customer information and charges or bill all activities incurred during receiving, storage, products movement within the warehouse and dispatch of customer products to collect all the revenue as guided by the SOP.
  • Liaise with truck drivers (external customers), Forklift drivers, reach truck driver and general workers during offloading customer orders, correct order preparation and accurate loading of customer orders to always ensure smooth customer service.
  • Complies with all up to date required standards such as Occupation Health and Safety (OHS), food standard, HACCP, General Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) etc. to provide good service consistently.
  • Report any discrepancies identify immediately during the process of receiving, storage and product dispatch for quick decision making as to avoid incorrect inventory, customer queries/complaint or claims.
  • Liaise with Compliance through the Supervisor for any non-conforming products during receiving, storage and dispatch such as damages, awful smell, out of temperatures etc. to maintain hygienic standards. Scan all the relevant customer information and capture all charges of all activities incurred during receiving, storage, and dispatch for the purpose of revenue collection as per the SOP.
  • Must have worked with Symbol scanners for product intakes on WMS.
  • Pick products when preparing orders on First in First Out (FIFO) principle to avoid any product expiry in the warehouse. 
  • Commitment to company’s mission, vision, strategy, goals, values, policies, and procedures always.
  • Ensure that all transaction is scanned onto the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and is accurate and completed timeously.

Position Requirements

Education

  • Matric with additional Customer Service Course or related field

Experience

  • Three to Five (3-5) year experience in the related field

  • · Warehouse Management System Experience – Good understanding of Stock takes -Barcode locations and working with picking slips and Grv. & Giv’s to locate and issue stock from warehouse location for loading
