Cold Store Floor Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a Cold Store Floor Manager to oversee the daily operations of their cold storage facility. This role is critical in ensuring efficient space utilization, smooth traffic flow, stock rotation, fruit specifications management, and forklift operations

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision & Leadership: Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance to maintain a productive and motivated work environment.
• Space & Traffic Management: Optimize the cold store layout, oversee pallet movement, and ensure seamless coordination with the packhouse.
• Compliance & Safety: Enforce stock movement protocols and uphold health and safety standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Handling Equipment Management: Oversee forklift operations, conduct equipment inspections, and ensure timely maintenance.
• Operational Efficiency: Streamline workflows, manage energy usage, and collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to enhance operational performance.
• Customer Service: Ensure accurate order fulfillment and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records, temperature logs, compliance documentation, and operational reports.

• Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain, Warehousing, or Operations Management.

• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role within a cold storage or warehouse environment.
• Experience in handling fresh produce and exporting, with a strong understanding of international quality standards.
