Our client is currently recruiting a Commercial Legal Assistant with a completed Legal Degree with 3 years of work experience as a Contract Manager, Junior Attorney, Paralegal, or Legal Advisor.

We require legal knowledge and work experience from a Labour Broker or Temporary Employment Service background with extensive contract management work experience.
 
This will be an office-based role in Irene in Centurion.

We are looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Commercial/Legal Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong contract management skills, attention to detail along with the ability to manage multiple assignments and stakeholders. The ideal candidate must have previous experience with contract administration, be familiar with legal requirements for contract drafting and contract reviews, ensure all contracts conform to company standards and requirements, and manage contract and commercial management activities.

POSITION INFO:
Required Qualifications, knowledge, and experience:

• LLB/BCom Law
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a contract manager, junior attorney, paralegal, or legal advisor.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of South African law, specifically contract, commercial, and labour law.
• Knowledge of human resources, staffing and industrial relations beneficial.

• Draft a variety of contracts, non-disclosure agreements, franchise agreements, contracts, and policies including tender and vendor forms.
• Review all agreements and proper execution of all contracts with service lines: IT, HR, Legal, and Finance, including review of client service level agreements as applicable.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and execute a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions.
• Serve as point-of-contact between two parties in contractual matters.
• Maintain and update contractual correspondence, documentation and records changes, status reports, and other information on agreements and those in progress.
• Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with an appropriate strategic commercial approach, based on contract type and organizational needs.
• Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension, or renewal according to organisational requirements.
• Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties internally and externally.
• Provide on-demand contractual clarifications and recommendations to management or project team members as required.
• Revise documents for adherence to company policy, and advise on contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretation of terms and conditions.
• Ensure all contracts are signed and delivered to relevant parties.
