Commercial Manager

Our client, a Fruit Export Company who is based in the Winelands region, is looking for an Commercial Manager to join their team.  Experience within the Fruit / FMCG industry will be beneficial. 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Qualification in Logistics; Finance or Marketing
• Product knowledge of grapes and citrus
• Knowledge of industry trends
• Trading experience in the EU and Canadian markets
• Microsoft Business Central experience
• Proficiency in one or more European languages
• Manage current and new business relationships effectively
• Procurement and co-ordination of products
• Maintaining and growing sales in assigned markets
• Identification and pursuit of opportunities to expand business
• Analysis of sales and finance reports to gain insights into how to improve performance and maximize growth
• Ensure profitable sales

 
REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary Qualification
• Marketing and/ or sales experience
• Experience in growing procurement and sales
• Proven record of ability to build strong business relationships
• Costing
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the fruit industry
• Computer literate, especially Microsoft Office
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Excellent communication skills
• Proactive and innovative mindset
• Able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Energetic and outgoing with high work ethic
• Disciplined
• Ability to work cooperative in a team
• Problem-solving capabilities
• Attention to detail
• Strong negotiation skills and decisiveness

 
REMUNERATION

• Market related, depending on experience and qualifications
