SUMMARY:
Red Ember Recruitment is looking for Commercial Underwriters to join a well-established brokerage that requires the services of two on-site experienced commercial lines underwriters at their office in Bellville.

POSITION INFO:

The candidates should have a passion for client services, excel in attention to detail, and aim to exceed expectations.
Team players are required who can operate well under pressure and embrace Treating Customers Fairly principles.

Duties:

Overall underwriting processes (quotations, new business, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, unpaid/age analysis).
Ensure documentation is processed accurately and correctly.
Timeous attendance to internal and external queries.
General administration and service delivery to Accounts Executives to enable them to render excellent service to our clients.
Retention and Growth of client base.

Desired Skills:

Experience using:
Flexi
Cardinal (CIMS360)

Requirements:

Matric.
RE5 and CPD Hours.
A representative with the FSCA (DOFA required).
FAIS Compliant.
5 to 10 years of short-term insurance underwriting experience in Commercial Lines at a brokerage.
Sound knowledge of various short-term products and policies (Commercial, Agri, Engineering, Marine).
PC Literacy/Microsoft Office.
Attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English and Afrikaans).
Must be able to work well under pressure.
