Commercial Underwriter / Broker Assistant

POSITION INFO:

PMB based firm are looking for an experienced Commercial Underwriter / Broker Assistant to join their team.  

Duties:

• Attend to client queries
• Provide administrative back up to brokers and attend to broker queries
• Source and compare quotes
• Ensure policy schedules received from insurers are accurate and all instructions correctly attended to
• Process policy endorsements
• Ensure strict SLA's are adhered to in terms of turnaround time
• Follow up on outstanding processes, quotes, documents and information

Qualifications and experience:

• Matric - minimum requirement
• RE5 advantageous
• NQF 5 qualification in Underwriting or Short Term insurance advantageous
• 3 years or more experience as an Underwriter
• 3 years or more in the short term insurance industry
• Must have both domestic and commercial experience
