Summary of this role: Concrete Foreman
- Must have firm knowledge of COLTO Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Works for South African Road Authorities
- You will be reporting to a Contracts Manager and shall be supervising and managing all activities on site
Duties shall include:
- Daily managing of site including all admin (costing; timesheet; ordering and working with allowables)
- Programming of works and planning with the Contracts Manager
- Quality control of all work on site (civil structural & building) Including all health & safety on site
- Managing of all teams, experts (carpenters, shutter-hands, concrete hands and foreman and all local unskilled labours)
- Setting out of all work to be constructed
- Placing of concrete and finishing thereof
- Work according to specification of the Client
- Levelling and setting out of the shuttering
- Read & interpreting of all technical drawings, steel drawings included
- Calculating the amount of concrete needed on site
- Knowledge of Quantity Surveying will be an advantage
- Managing construction plant and diesel on site
- Setting out of concrete structures
