POSITION INFO:
They are seeking a skilled and motivated Control & Instrumentation Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing our control systems and instrumentation to ensure efficient and safe operations. You will work closely with the engineering team to troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, calibrate, and maintain control and instrumentation equipment such as PLCs, SCADA systems, sensors, and actuators.
Diagnose and repair faults in control systems to minimize downtime.
Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize system performance.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including calibration logs and maintenance reports.
Support the commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
Stay updated on technological advancements and recommend improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

A relevant qualification in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (e.g., HND, NVQ, or equivalent).
Proven experience in a similar role within [specify industry, e.g., manufacturing, oil & gas, or energy].
Strong understanding of PLCs, SCADA systems, and instrumentation technologies.
Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, ISO, or ATEX).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule or respond to on-call requirements as needed.
