Cost Accountant

Responsibilities:

Cost Accounting 
-Working with orders.
-Projects.
-Product costing.

Financial Administration
-Apply overhead costs.
-Import annual budgets into D365.
-Ensure accurate payment summaries.

Stock Management
-Do quantity reconciliations for major stock items.
-Evaluate and adjust stock unit cost if necessary.
-Create and maintain stock and reports from the ERP system.

Financial Reporting
-Do quantity reconciliations for major stock items.
-Evaluate and adjust stock unit cost if necessary.
-Create and maintain stock and reports from the ERP system.
-Report on inventory write-offs.
-Create journals including all journals relating to inventory and cost of sales.
-Assist with budget preparation.
-Assist with 5-year plan preparation.

Sales
-Maintaining the nursery order book on all platforms.
-Construct sales forecasts.
-Maintaining all customer-related documentation on D365.
-Sales quotations, Sales orders, Pro-forma invoices for deposits, Invoices and Credit notes.

Production
Stock Control
-Compile stock counting schedules in conjunction with the operations.
-Ensure that the admin team reconcile cycle counting sheets with production records.
-Maintain counting journals through-out the counting cycle.

Requirements:
B Com or Post Graduate qualification in Cost\Management accounting. CIMA would be advantageous.
Computer literate - Expert (MS Office (Word and Excel), Microsoft D365).
Excellent Business English skills (written & spoken).
Fluent in Afrikaans and/or an African language.
Valid driver’s license and own transport.
Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in a manufacturing environment with costing, finances, and inventory.
