Costing Estimator - Technical Engineering

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the refractory industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and a strong understanding of Refractory drawings and plans.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

Duties:

• Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for various projects based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.
• Utilise AutoCAD software to review and interpret project drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
• Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and completeness.
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and project documentation.
• Monitor and track project costs and changes, providing regular updates to management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, pricing, and best practices.
