POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
As the commercial accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with IFRS for SME’s
Play a key role in the annual audit process for the group, including pre-audit meetings and coordinating with Finance Managers
Build and manage strong relationships with external stakeholders within the set guidelines
Provide regular updates to the Group Financial Manager on weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress
Spot opportunities by analyzing current business trends, researching best practices, and applying key principles
Collaborate with all business units to foster positive feedback loops and continuous improvement
Work closely with managers and teams, providing coaching and mentorship to support professional development
Enhance cross-functional team collaboration through clear, and focussed communication
Stay up to-date with industry regulations
Engage in educational opportunities and maintain an active network within the professional organisations
Identify areas for improvement, cost reduction and opportunities for system enhancements
Additional ad-hoc duties as required
 
Skills & Experience:
Proficient in both Afrikaans and English
Advanced Excel Skills
Meticulous with high attention to detail
Strong team management skills
 
Qualification:
Diploma or degree in Finance or Accounting
Grade 12 (Matric)
