A well-established, market leader in the mining and construction industry, our client prides itself on fostering growth and investing in their employees. They are seeking a dedicated Creditors Clerk to join their dynamic team.

Position Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to provide accurate and timely management of creditors. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining efficient and accurate financial operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Requesting statements and invoices from suppliers.
• Receiving and verifying invoices.
• Recording invoice numbers and matching invoices with purchase orders/GRVs.
• Processing invoices for payment.
• Preparing creditors reconciliations for month-end payments.
• Generating and submitting payments for authorization and final processing.
• Resolving discrepancies and queries promptly.
• Maintaining records of creditors’ details, balances, and statements.
• Preparing reports and analyses as required.
• Following up on unpaid creditors.
• Balancing Age Payables to the General Ledger.
• Balancing source journals to the General Ledger.
• Preparing Creditors/GL reconciliations.
• Following up on outstanding queries.
• Assisting with financial and BBBEE audits.
• Miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Matric certificate.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge.
• Understanding of creditors and financial processes.
• Experience with Accpac.
