POSITION INFO:
My client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Creditors Clerk to join their finance team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier invoices, processing payments, and ensuring accurate reconciliations to support smooth financial operations.

This role is based in Kliprivier, Johannesburg South.

Key Responsibilities:

• Request and verify supplier statements and invoices.
• Receipt and match invoices with purchase orders and goods received vouchers (GRVs).
• Process invoices for payment, including month-end and COD payments.
• Prepare creditor reconciliations for month-end payments.
• Generate payments on Sage (Accpac) and submit for authorization via NEDBANK.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and supplier queries.
• Maintain up-to-date records of creditor details, balances, and statements.
• Prepare reports and analysis related to creditors.
• Follow up on outstanding creditor payments to ensure timely settlements.
• Reconcile accounts payable to the general ledger and balance source journals.
• Prepare creditor and general ledger (clearing) reconciliations.
• Assist in resolving outstanding queries and follow up accordingly.
• Support financial audits and BBBEE compliance requirements.

• Diploma or certificate in Accounting/Finance or relevant field.
• Previous experience in a creditors/accounts payable role.
• Working with a book value of R20 million.
• Proficiency in Sage (Accpac) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
