SUMMARY:
Our client in the ICT distribution industry, has an opportunity available for a Cycle Counter to be based in the Sandton area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12
Knowledge of Warehousing and Logistics
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics AX will be an advantage
Knowledge of Cycle Counting will be an advantage
Must be able to convert foreign currency
Must be able to do reconciliations
Working experience in Debtors department and good knowledge credit management principles
Ability to work under pressure

Duties:

Perform regular stock take and cycle counting during the year and during the end of the year stock take, while conduction reconciliation in case of discrepancies during cycle count schedule.
Familiar with description (specification, unit of quantity, application) of material in order to perform accurate cycle counting and stock taking.
Familiar with location of material in order to locate and count inventory in timely manner.
Conduct regular physical verification to determine the actual quantity and account for variances.
Identify and remove out-dated or obsolete materials from active shelves in order to protect the integrity of the company.
Implement and maintain a filing system of the facts, discrepancies, and issues identified during the cycle counting or stock taking process in order to maintain accurate records that can be easily retrieved.
Daily review and action on credit note reports.
Perform weekly and monthly reporting tasks for stock ordering procedures.
Compiling and preparing of the monthly and year end stock take sheets will be required, and the integrity and reliability of the reports needs to be ensured.
