Nation Packaging Manufacturer seeks a Stores Supervisor to manage 5 staff in the stores on a 3-shift system so 3 of them will rotate.  You will work permanent dayshift 08h00 – 16h30 Monday to Friday.

Must have consumable stores experience, issue goods to our factory and not to our customers. You will ensure that they have the correct parts stored so that if one of the machines breaks down, the part is in stock.  You will also be responsible for issuing whatever goods are needed to run the factory from PPE to chemicals to toilet paper etc. 

Must have own transport.  This must not be confused with a Warehouse Supervisor as it is not the same. You will be managing the consumable stores accepting deliveries and then issuing goods to the factory.

You need to be able to ensure that all inventory received is recorded and when collected the proper issuing receipting takes place. The Stores get audited on a regular basis and normally paperwork is an issue so this person must be able to manage the staff in the department to ensure that the paperwork is impeccable.  

Qualifications

• Matric
• Good Computer skills
• Supervisory experience
• Stores Management Qualification or similar will be an advantage.

Key Performance Areas:

• Optimum maintenance of stock levels and accurate record keeping
  • Updating a computer system with a record of items received, issued, on order, short deliveries, etc.
  • Facilitate stock take on monthly basis, and report any deviances to the department head.

Brief Job Description:

• Receiving and checking the quantity and quality of all incoming goods, recording and receipting incoming goods
• Ensure conformance certificates are received for all critical raw materials for every batch
• Keep records of technical data sheets
• Monitor stock levels of all products used in production to ensure the smooth running of production thereof
• Responsible for month-end stocktaking to ensure accurate stock take figures
• Filing all delivery notes in the Stores Department
• Responsible for proper storage of raw materials inside the store and in the Yard area
• Issuing of goods to the factory as required
• Update stock control system daily
• Manage staff in-line with company policies and procedures
• Effective stock management i.e., ordering in time and ensuring essential spares are kept in stock
• Ensure good housekeeping in the Store as well as the Spares Store in the warehouse.
