DAIRY AND GENERAL FARM MANAGER

SUMMARY:
Swellendam Area – Western Cape: Our client is looking for a Dairy and General Farm Manager to join the team.

Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- 3+ years’ experience with dairy management, pasture management and calf rearing
- Ability to AI
- Pasture experience
- Irrigation experience
- Computer literate
- Must be willing to work milk-weekends and weekends during crisis/harvest/planting season.
- Experience with planning of crop rotation, weed- and fertiliser programs.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge will be beneficial.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

- Strong focus on dairy, AI, calf raring and pasture management.
- Planning of crop rotation, weed-and fertilizer programs.
- Must be willing to work milk-weekends, as scheduled, as well as weekends during crisis/harvest/planting season
- Management of staff & must be willing to take on any other general farm duties/ responsibilities.
