DTP- Operator

• Must have matric (Grade 12)
• Must have a national diploma Graphic Designer
• Previous work experience as DTP- Operator (5 years min
• Have excellent computer skills and knowledge
• Be creative, with an eye for good design
• Be able to prioritise a varied workload
• Work well under pressure and to strict deadline
• Enjoy doing artistic work
• Working deadlines team environment producing layouts
• Weekly setups for clients
• Producing artwork layouts and renders
• Producing print ready files Litho and Digital print runs, Preflight and Troubleshooting through Apogee
• Flatbed UV digital printing on various acrylic
• Colour matching and print quality control
• DTP and REPRO of all print and cut files
• Maintain production flow of printing and DTP
• Designing of all marketing materials for website
• Working together with Design, Cutting, Sales and Finishing departments to create a finished product
• Create and correct artwork according to brief and make up finished art for proofing
• Setup print ready files whether it is for digital, litho or screen print processes
• Make all the necessary adjustments regarding colour, substrates and bleeds Prioritise work tickets according to deadlines and traffic
• Make up print layout/art approvals for client’s approval
• Work within branding guidelines from client’s approval
• Work within branding guidelines from corporate clients and marketing agencies such as BAT
• Colour matching on seasonal campaigns
