SUMMARY:
Managed Talent Solutions a Business Unit with Datacentrix is looking for a Data Analyst with financial services knowledge. Applicant must have atleast 5 years experience in IT coupled with a degree in Computer Science and SDLC methodology knowledge. This is a fixed term contract and the role will be based in Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems and/ or;
• Advanced computer literacy.
• Financial services knowledge.
• SDLC methodology knowledge.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial services sector.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT.

• Collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs, etc.).
• Ensuring the quality, consistency, and accuracy of data before analysis.
• Combining data from multiple sources to create comprehensive datasets.
• Analyzing large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Applying statistical techniques (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing) to interpret data.
• Using mathematical and statistical models to predict outcomes or identify relationships in the data.
• Creating charts, graphs, and other visual representations of data to make insights easily understandable.
• Generating reports (often using BI tools) that summarize findings and insights.
• Communicating findings to stakeholders in a clear and understandable way, often tailored to non-technical audiences.
• Proficient use of data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Python, R, or specialized software.
• Querying and managing data in databases, often using SQL or other database languages.
• Automating repetitive data tasks using scripting or programming languages to improve efficiency.
• Collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, and other analysts to ensure data accuracy and the alignment of analysis with business objectives.
