Data Engineer - Tech for Good
Leading tech company in renewable energy looking for a Data Engineer to join them either in Edinburgh or fully remote.
Your new company…
A new team that is being created for this company to help drive decision making in renewable energy and how it is used around the world is looking for a Data Engineer. They are delving into the world of 'tech for good' and are wanting to grow their team ASAP to be able to do everything they can to ensure they are using renewable energies in the smartest way possible.
Your new role...
You will be focusing on the ETL pipeline that will be bringing data in from different sources and ensuring that the quality is up to scratch as it is used through the organisation. They are looking for a Data Engineer that, of course, understands the principles and wants to work in a great team on some interesting projects around renewable energy.
About you…
You will have experience of all of the usual customers when it comes to data engineering, so Python, SQL and a core cloud platform. They use AWS, so having this would of course be an added bonus, but if you had experience of Azure or GCP you would be able to transfer your skills! The team are also using PostgreSQL, so having experience of this (or something similar) would be great, as well as, of course, working on complex ETL processes.
On offer…
The salary on offer is up to £65-70k and can offer fully remote working or if you like going into the office, they do have a very nice one in Edinburgh.
