Data Scientist
An innovative company based in Edinburgh who have built a solution to help companies save significant sums of money and do good for the environment are looking to add a Data Scientist to their small, but growing analytics team.
Your new company…
A 15 year old start-up in many ways, they are working on some really innovative projects in a market where conditions can literally change daily. This makes things like predictive modelling and general model building tricky - but fun!
The team is relatively small, so you'll report directly into the Head of Data Analytics and be given lots of autonomy and have a big impact from the get-go. However, they are also great when it comes to training and you'll pick up lots of invaluable skills along the way - namely in the world of getting models into production, MLOps and using the Microsoft Azure suite of cloud products.
Your new role…
You would be working as part of the Data Science team which has quickly become a core area of the business to be able to function. You will be able to get your teeth stuck into Machine Learning model development and work alongside a team of Software Developers, Data Analysts and Data Engineers in the wider team.
The Head of Data is keen to embrace modern work practices around MLOps and Data Engineering - meaning you won't spend all day wondering how to get your work into production, the infrastructure will be set you up for success.
About you…
A natural problem solver with a passion for data science in a nutshell. In fact, they aren't even worried if you've not had the chance to productionise your work yet, as long as you can show an aptitude for learning and have strong SQL, Python and Stats skills. The rest they can happily teach!

The salary that is on offer is up to £40,000 and the ability for flexible working from home and their central Edinburgh office space.
