Our client  is a manufacturing company that manufacturers high quality & durable cater ware for the catering industry. They are looking to appoint a suitably experienced Debtors & Creditors Assistant.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:
  • Prompt, professional communication with Client / Customer
  • Prompt capturing & verification of debtor’s data
  • Process invoices / credit notes /client pro-forma statements - Print and forward to requester, facilitate updates as required
  • Administering Debtors / Debt collection by following up on outstanding accounts, contacting debtors, and requesting payment
  • Maintain records of all transactions and correspondence regarding debtor’s accounts
  • Preparation / reconciliation of documents for processing- As required by Management and Financial Accountants
  • Receipting of payments and maintenance of bank account GL’s
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks As required by Management
  • Maintains security by following procedures- closing and opening motor gate and keeping door security gate closed at all times.
  • Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer's instructions for house phone and console operation.
  • Accepting deliveries for purchase orders, receiving and recording all documentation and double-checking amounts & pricing on invoice vs purchase order when necessary.
  • Filing must be kept up to date and desk kept clean and tidy.
  • Deal with any new product and quote enquiries telephonically or per e-mail or directing it to the rest of the sales team if necessary.
  • Clients must be contacted once on regular intervals and details updated on Omni system regularly and followed up daily on the CRM system.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Working hours are from 08h00-17h00, tea from 10h00 - 10h15 and 15h00 – 15H15. Lunch from 12h00-12h30.
  • Leave is calculated at 15 working days per year, any other leave is unpaid. Leave must be taken during the December holiday period when suppliers are closed.
  • No smoking is allowed during working hours, smoking is allowed during tea and lunch period only at the back of the factory where no clients are allowed, and safety precautions should be taken with regards to fire hazards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of Grade 12
  • Diploma or certificate in finance, or bookkeeping
  • Accuracy in writing and communication when liaising with clients.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Afrikaans & English
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Computer literate – Microsoft outlook, excel and word.
  • Driver’s license: Code B
