Debtors Administrator

SUMMARY:
Joya Brands is looking for a Debtors Administrator to join their team!!

Position/Title:  Debtors Administrator
Upper Reports Too: Financial Accountant
Function: Accounts Receivable 
Location: Atlantis 

Overall Responsibility:
Monthly reconciliation of Accounts Receivable.  
Ensuring on time collection of monies due.
Resolving queries on accounts effectively and efficiently.
Building strong relationships with Account Administrators.

Main responsibilities of Focus Area
Focus Area 1:  Processing
- Verify all claims , prepare credit note request form, process claims on approval 
 - Correct allocation of remittances to enable the timeous follow up  of outstanding invoices
- Forward adhoc claims to Finance Accountant and process on approval   
- Submit monthly statements on required dates and ensure balancing to Evo prior to submission
-All claims to be approved by sales.
-Daily Upload of SGX sales CV file.

Focus Area 2: Reconciliations
- Reconciliation of accounts to enable follow up of unpaid invoices and on time query resolving.
- Constantly working on 60 day items to ensure queries do not move over 90 days outstanding status      
- On time collection of monies due, check at month end to ensure all account payments have been received  
- Report of unpaid accounts by 10th of every month to management

Focus Area 3:  Other
- Maintain papertrail debtor files with statement/ remittances per month for future reference
- Forward Remittances for approval to FA

Requirements of the Role
Qualification : 
Matric with accounting as a subject.
Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping recommended  
Experience  : 
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role FMCG experience (SC, PNP, Spar)
- non negotiable requirement.
Fluent in spoken and written English

Skills/Competencies Required
Solid understanding of Basic Bookkeeping and Accounting Principles
Ability to calculate , post and manage accounting figures and Finance Records
Effective Verbal , written and listening  communication skills 
Time Management Skills
Computer Skills 
Must  be able to develop relationships.
